1 2012) Madeleine’s position is 60% extension and 40% research and will be based at NWROC in Crookston. She will be developing an applied research and extension program in the causes and management of diseases in the cropping systems of Northwest Minnesota with an emphasis on small grains and canola. Madeleine comes to us from the United Kingdom where she obtained her B.Sc. in Biological Sciences at the University of Leicester, her M.Sc. in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology at the University of East Anglia and the John Innes Centre, and her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology and Microbiology at Rothamsted Research. Most recently Madeleine was an Assistant Research Scientist at Texas AgriLife Research in Amarillo, TX. We are excited to have someone of Madeleine’s stature on-board to address crop diseases of importance to Minnesota’s agricultural economy.
